My Mad Men Commentary

With the new season of 'Mad Men' started up again a few Sundays ago, I went ahead and rewatched season two in its entirety so that I can fall back into the world of Sterling Cooper. Loaded with special features I'll never get the time to check out, I've decided to check out the audio commentary for one of my favorite episodes from that season titled 'Three Sundays' in which Colin Hanks begins his season long guest appearance as Father Gill.

To my surprise, the audio commentary featuring Colin Hanks and Elisabeth Moss is not only informative but extremely entertaining. They joked about everything from "one take wonders" to Pete Campbell's short shorts while letting viewers know about the almost relationship writers had in stored for their characters. I highly encourage all 'Mad Men' fanatics to check it out.

With the best written female role on television, Elisabeth Moss ('Mad Men') transforms Peggy Olsen into someone you root for even though you're not sure if she is going to be the ultimate villain to Jon Hamm's Don Draper. And with each passing moment, the very determined character plots her way to a higher reputation at Sterling Cooper. It is Moss's decision of replacing jubilant with entitlement in Peggy that makes her a force you root for and at the same fear. Check out her Emmy reel (with uber-spoilers) for next year...

My Obsession With Elizabeth Moss

If you've watch any episode of AMC's original series 'Mad Men', there is no doubt a fire ignites in you for one Peggy Olson. She is, after all, the ultimate corporate ladder climber. Elizabeth Moss, who portrays Olson, nothing short of a gem in that role. I can't help but succumb to her 'Miranda Priestley'-like attitude towards work. It is ashamed that she wasn't nominated for an Emmy earlier this month.

The latest issue of New York Magazine profiles the young siren's career thus far and highlights her poise in midst of a stellar cast. I can't wait until the new season of 'Mad Men' next week and see what Peggy does with her jawdropping twist in last season's finale and even more so, how Moss will continue to work me under her spell.
