My Concert Drunk

A few days late, but this still cracks me up everytime I watch it:

My Sassy Gay Friend

Those hilarious folks at Chicago's Second City imagined what some classic Shakespeare play would be like if the heroines had a sassy girl friend. It's true, I always thought most females in Shakespeare's works were dumb as a brick.

My Asian Susan Boyle

Yikes. God bless foreign reality singing competition for bringing us some amazing performances the contestants of 'American Idol' only wish they can fathom. Meet Lin Yu Chun, currently in Taiwan's 'Superstar Avenue' belt out the Dolly Parton/Whitney Houston classic "I Will Always Love You". While not pleasing to the eye, Lin who was nicknamed "Little Fatty" on the show is most definitely flexing his vocal muscles to his opponent who's evidently shaking in her boots. If you can't read or understanding Mandarin, just skip to the 1 minute mark.

My Gleeful Normality

Combining two of the best things ever- 'Glee' and 'Next To Normal'. It's as if they made this just for me. Thanks Carlsbad High School, now this N2N obsession is never going to die.

My Gay Clooney Fan

>

Not sure what I loved more about this video. The reporter's full throttle attempt to embarrass himself by professing his "love" or Clooney's quick witted reaction.

My Hilarious Gruesome Murder

Because there's nothing funnier than a man charged with chopping up his wife.

My Tonys Recap

Best Tony host I've seen since Hugh Jackman, Neil Patrick Harris (and his pleather suit) rocked throughout the evening with comedic quips, timing gags and a rockin' solo closing number to boot. The story though has to be the 10-minute opening montage of some of this past season's productions highlighted by the finale of 'Let The Sun Shine' collaboration with just about everybody ranging from Elton John to Dolly Parton, Liza Minnelli to the cast of 'West Side Story'. The lowlight besides the Bret Michaels literal headbanging moment? The constant microphone issues...

As for the ceremony itself, 'Next To Normal' continues to track curiosity from both Broadway enthusiasts and casual viewers alike, while Billy didn't need one word (but oodles of footsteps) to bring down the house. I had a personal best of 12 for 16 this year... I definitely need to go catch up more so than I have already.

My 'Tuts My Barreh'

Over dinner tonight with a group of friends, we were sharing some more Youtube videos and this one tops it all. It apparently has been making the rounds getting more than 1 million hits, but this guy singing Mariah Carey's "Touch My Body" with the running English subtitles is plain hilarious. I was laughing so hard I almost coughed up the orange creamsicle flavored frozen yogurt. My favorite line? "I'm up on my beegees like a windy interview".

My Newest Half Blood Prince Trailer

As my number one anticipated film of 2009, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has pushed up its release date by two days and sequentially released its final trailer. While the book itself was personally ranked fifth (of seven) in the JK Rowling series, the potential for an excellent film is there. And judging from the trailer, this is going to be some magical ride. I. CANNOT. WAIT.

My Susan Boyle

Everybody is blogging about it, so regarding Susan Boyle  and her showstopping performance of 'I Dreamed A Dream' (Youtube has disabled embedding of her performance, so click hereI can only say what many have already said before me- I teared up big time. If there a rectifying moment for reality competition on television, this 'Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover' tale is it. It just goes to show how powerful a single showtune can be- and I'm saying this as someone who despises Les Mis!

My Do-Re-Mi

Thanks to The Film Experience for making my night. If this ever happens at Grand Station Central, you can bet your curtains-originated play clothes I'll be hopping on the 6 Train to join in on the fun.

My Bathroom Concert

Leave it to Ellen DeGeneres to tickle my funny bone once more. Her latest edition of the ongoing 'Bathroom Concert Series' is with none other than Academy Award winner Jennifer Hudson singing the showstopping number 'And I Am Telling You' from 'Dreamgirls'. The look on Jennifer's face on multiple occasions are enough to keep me chuckling for hours.

My Overdramatic Flight Passenger

Believe me, I've missed my fair share of planes . At times, I wanted to react like this lady, but I've never done so. I don't know what's funnier, her reaction or the canny subtitles.

My Pooping Video

I always wondered what all those cameras were doing around me when I was trying to drop a deuce that one time when I was three. Now, I have the answer.

My Best-Of Christian Bale Remixes

(this blog entry contain uber amounts of vulgarity)

So a few weeks after the Christian Bale tapes leaked, I'd figure it's time to collect the best remixes from the world of Youtube from creative genius who did their best with limited source material.

Oh, I can laugh at this all day long.

My Hollywood Political Ads

What would happen if directors John Woo, Kevin Smith and Wes Anderson made public service announcement videos for Senator John McCain's bid for presidency? This absurdly funny Youtube video kinda nailed the artistic style of those directors to a tee with John Woo's being my personal favorite.

My One Man Duet

Oh, just wait until you hear Nick Pitera's version of 'A Whole New World'. I need to hire this guy to sing all my favorite Disney duets. Be prepared to be amazed because I sure was.
