My Sex for Passport

Isaac Baichu, an immigration agent, was arrested for requesting oral sex from a female client in exchange for a green card. It angers me to no end and it's something I feel strongly about. Baichu, an immigrant from Guyana, pleads not guilty. I've heard of many corruption tales regarding the immigration process, but most of them concerns monetary gains one way or another. This is another unexplored problem in this country, primarily because the victims has no voice on the matter since most of them do not speak the language. 

I'm glad Baichu is charged with a possible jail sentence. People who take advantage of others in a weaker situation should not be tolerated and be punished- especially in this matter. Thanks to Moni for the article relay. (NYT)

The hits just keep on coming. Current New York governor David Paterson revealed today he and his wife had extra-martial affairs during the rocky periods of their marriage. Paterson had sworn in to become the 55th governor of New York earlier today. I guess it's better to reveal your secret before they come out scandalous, huh? (NYDN)

My Open Letter to Ashley Alexandra Dupre

Ms. Dupre, 

I'm sure the last few days has been a mess for you since you were identified as 'Kristen' in Elliot Spitzer's sex scandal. Afterall, you are just a 22-year old from New Jersey who came across the Hudson in search of a career in music.... but too bad, what did you think would happen when you sleep with a state governor for money? 

And one more thing, you told an interviewer you hope no one would view you as a "monster". Oh sweetheart, you don't have to worry about that. Nobody sees you as a monster, just a hooker. Which apparently, is not as bad. (NYT)

My Letterman Demand

David Letterman called for Gov. Elliot Spitzer to resign during his show Tuesday night, taking a moment after his monologue to rant to his audience. He even went as far as saying Silda Spitzer should "dump him, get on a train and take the kids with her." Good for Letterman for speaking out for what many New Yorkers are thinking. He should be ousted out of office, if not for the prostitution claims then for being a complete contradiction to what he's been telling us since his first day of his campaign. (NYDN)

Yikes. Not as scandalous as Jack Nicholson's family past, but Julie Andrews is reported to reveal she is a product of a extra marital affair in an upcoming autobiography. Only Maria Von Trapp can keep that kind of secret for 58 years from the ever prying public. (NYDN)
